A REGULAR feature over the coming months on This French Life will be a simple quiz on all things France written by author Andrew Whittaker.
Some of the questions will be drawn from Andrew's book Speak the Culture: France, but he is also promising to include brain teasers on current affairs and subjects that didn't make the book.
So you might cross questions on sporting events, politics and the arts, hopefully though you will gain a little insight into France and the richness of its culture.
Below you will find the first set of ten questions, alongside a .pdf of the same questions but also the answers that you can take away with you.
Feel free to print off copies of the questions to hand out at a get-together or similar event, you could even use them in a language class, and look out for another quiz next month.

Hi Maitresse, you can tell your strong points are film and the arts :-)
I'll have to ask Andrew to squeeze a few more questions in on these subjects.
Thanks for taking part, Craig
