THE French government has announced that from 1 August, 2022, there will no longer be Covid-related rules at international borders with the country.
The state of emergency that was in place has come to an end, and this has also brought to an end the requirement to have proof of vaccination, evidence of a negative test result, an attestation to say you are free of Covid symptoms or any justification for your journey.
The interior ministry has a page on its website explaining the changes that have been brought in.
The French government has kept in place the option to close borders should a more dangerous Covid variant take off in the coming months, but this is in place only until the end of January 2023 and can only be in place for two months.
