IT has been a busy few months for Bergerac Airport, they've been that busy they have handled a record number of passengers in July and August.
The airport has said that in July it hosted 47,375 passengers, up nearly 20% on last year.
While in August the all time monthly record was beaten with 56,400 passengers.
Summer 2016 was up 12% compared to last year, and early figures for September show that visitor numbers are set to remain at a high level.
Whilst flights to other destinations in France, and to Holland, have proven popular it is British passengers that have led the way, and there is a good chance this will continue in the coming months.
Earlier this month Bergerac Airport announced its winter 2016 - 2017 routes, offering up flights to four regular destinations as well as additional services over the Christmas period.
