THIS beautiful wooden dining service has been developed by designer, Matali Crasset, to highlight the work of French craftsmen.
The collection consists of seven contemporary objects produced by local craftsmen and have been produced to support the rural art centre of Vent des Forêts in la Meuse, Lorraine.
The different shaped plates are produced from ash and sycamore trees by Philippe Huet, a local artisan, who uses the part of the wood that provides sufficient rigidity and resistance to humidity.
Over time each piece acquires a patina and they are not washed in the dishwasher, but just wiped and maintained with oil for food use.
