Send in your memories of relatives and loved ones who took part in the First World War to add to The Imperial War Museum's (IWM) 'Lives of the First World War' that aims to piece together as many stories as possible of the 8 million lost.
As the IWM says, “Discover their stories...Remember their lives”. You can become a member in order to upload your photographs or tales to become part of the memorial collection.
There are listings of free events and exhibitions across the IWM centres until 2016. Of particular note are:
- The First World War galleries at IWM Central, Lambeth Road, London.
- “D-Day the Last of the Liberators” IWM Duxford until 31 December 2014,
- “From Street to Trench: A World War that Shaped a Region,” IWM North, Manchester.
