THE cat welfare charity, Chats du Quercy, has a busy few months ahead of it as it looks to raise much needed funds.
The charity is currently taking part in a summer exhibition of artisanal art at Montaigu de Quercy which is open until 17 August 2013 from Tuesday to Saturday.
Then on 22 August from 7.30pm a jazz soirée takes place at la Chateau de Foulou, with Indian delicacies on the menu and all funds from the ticket price of €30 going towards helping the charity.
And on the weekend of 7 and 8 September there is an open invitation to find out more about the Chats du Quercy rescue centre, and its work, that is based in Miramont de Quercy.
Also another fund raising events takes place on 8 September, with an evening of music provided by UFunk at St Nazaire de Valentane.
Before being re-homed cats from Chats du Quercy receive a weekly visit by a qualified vet and if old enough tested negative for FIV/FeLV, but also neutered, identified by microchip as well as vaccinated and treated for parasites, with placement at their new homes undertaken with an adoption contract.
To find out more about the events, or to offer a helping hand as well as learn about how to adopt one of the cats being looked after by Chats du Quercy, drop in on their website.
