THE French economy is expected to limp along in the first six months of 2013, while household demand is likely to be 'sluggish'.
These are the predictions from the official statistics body, INSEE, with the organisation expecting GDP to be unchanged in the first quarter of 2013 and expand by just 0.1% in the second.
GDP in France has not seen quarterly growth of more than 0.2% since the first three months of 2011 and has had three quarters of declines since then.
