DISCOVER new and interesting ways to create floral art at an exhibition in Sorèze (map), in the Tarn.
Taking it as its theme Pierre-Paul Riquet et Ses Oeuvres, exhibitors will draw on the Canal du Midi and its many features and stories that run along its length.
The event takes place on May 26, 27 and 28, 2012 with exhibitions and discussions on flowers, plants and the horticultural world.
On Saturday May 26, at 3.30pm, a special talk will take place featuring a descendent of Pierre-Paul Riquet, who will discuss the life of one of France's greatest engineers.
A floral art competition is being staged by Monique Gimenez who runs MG Fleurs et Creation, which is devoted to the teaching of modern flower arranging.
And the floral exhibition will enjoy a dramatic backdrop as the Abbaye Ecole Royale de Sorèze will be playing host.
