THIS explanatory video has a bit of a patronising air about it, but the way that UK passports are now processed has changed.
The changes are explained in a six minute video produced by the Foreign Office and the Identity and Passport Service.
On April 1, 2011 the Identity and Passport Service took responsibility for the overseas passports operation.
The aim is to save money by reducing processing costs, and ensure safety by not moving blank passports around the world.
