A DATE has been set for the launch of French Radio London, on November 17 it will become the capital's first French language terrestrial broadcast station.
French Radio London will be available on DAB across the capital, reaching 4.5 million households, as well as online and via smartphone apps.
Some of the radio names set to work on the station include, Olivier Jauffrit who has had stints at Rire et Chansons and Europe 2, as well Jean-Michel Duffrene who worked as a producer in the French language section of the BBC World Service.
Pascal Grierson, French Radio London's CEO, said: "The preliminary research indicates that France's 'Fifth City' has a huge appetite for this station.
"We are delighted that the Ambassador, Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, has agreed to host a party at the Embassy to mark FRL's début."
