IF it is your job to run your gite website you will know how important it is to make a good first impression on visitors so they remember your site.
Well a cool video service called Animoto may just be the thing to help you stand out from the crowd and let you show off your French holiday home in style.
Animoto lets you create short videos like the one you see at the top of this article in a couple of minutes with just a few clicks of the mouse.
After signing up for a free account you are given the option to upload your images from your computer, or from anywhere else you might have them, for example on Flickr.
Once done you get a choice of music tracks, or upload your own, which offer everything from cool jazz, rock numbers, classical tracks and plenty of others.
Then Animoto draws everything together and mixes it all up to produce a short video up to a maximum of 30 seconds which you can place on your website, email to your friends or upload to YouTube.
Also blogger Neville Hobson highlighted Animoto's recently launched DVD quality offering, and considering it only costs $5 to create an ISO file you can burn to a disc, you could leave one in your welcome pack for people to take home and show friends.
There are so many digital tools available, often costing not a penny, that you can really make your website work that little bit harder fro you.
