IF France is good at one thing it is hosting festivals and events to celebrate all manner of things, be they music, the arts, sport or food and drink.
But trying to find out where things are taking place and when can be a challenge, I've never thought those little posters on grass verges outside villages were terribly effective.
So thanks to the wonders of Google Calendar and Maps I have created a What's On in France page that lets you see events coming up and where exactly they take place.
I am keen to receive details of local events being run by people, be they fund raisers, village fêtes or sporting events, all you need to do is send me an email.
Nothing special is required from yourself, beyond a short description of your event with the date and time, while to get the mapping reference all I need is a local postcode, for example, 24550 Loubejac.
One of the advantages of using Google is that I can ensure their search engine is able to access the details so if people undertake a search there is a good chance your details will be found from destinations across the internet.
Also, if your group is already using a public calendar service then contact me as I should be able to incorporate your events automatically into the What's On service.
So what are you waiting for? Get in touch and make sure readers of the site find out about your local events.
