WITH this April breaking many of the weather records for the month, the coming summer looks as though it could be another hot one.
Although you can't beat lazy days in the sunshine, high temperatures can cause stifling conditions in towns and cities, leading to air pollution problems.
If you do struggle when pollution levels rise you might want to place the Prev'air website in your favourites as it provides an interactive map to give you an idea of problem areas.
The maps are available in French and English and highlight current conditions but also provide a forecast for the following day and the day after that, today there is a lot of cool blue colours across France, a good sign.
The site is overseen by the Ministry for Ecology and Sustainable Development and is also able to offer information on ozone and nitrogen dioxide levels both in France and around the rest of Europe, with interactive maps that can be enlarged for more exact results.
