APPLYING for a job with a French employer is likely to be challenging enough, without the set formula that a CV has to keep to.
A French CV can be quite different to what you might be used to, with marital status often asked for and a passport sized photo usually required.
The About French Language website has a very informative piece about preparing your CV and what you will be asked for as well as some example templates.
The site is aimed at a US audience, so you are not going to need to spell out the names of American states, but it does make you think about what you may need to explain a little better.
And as the piece says, asking a French friend to take a final look over your CV will be a great help.
