LOW COST airline Ryanair has announced two new routes from Dublin to the south of France.
Flights to Carcassonne and Biarritz will begin on April 19, with prices starting at €29.99.
Ryanair’s Deputy Chief Executive, Michael Cawley, said: We will make Europe affordable for Irish consumers and it is great news for Irish tourism and Irish jobs.”
At the same time as the routes to France were announced the company also launched flights to Rome, Eindhoven, Frankfurt and most interestingly Doncaster – Sheffield.
The new Robin Hood Doncaster - Sheffield Airport already provides a base for Thomsonfly, but with this announcement Ryanair also appear to be setting up at the airport.
If they decide to launch any other flights from Robin Hood Airport it will be interesting to watch if they go head-to-head with Thomsonfly.
