THE French navy has an interesting recorder of their work in the tsunami hit countries of south east Asia.
Naval artist Michel Bellion has been tasked with painting scenes from the area, including the devastating aftermath of the giant waves and the relief work now being undertaken.
In this Associated Press article he explains how he felt when he first came ashore with his sketchpad, "I had goose bumps when I saw the destruction, how people scavenged," he said.
