What is the situation a month after the latest period of confinement ?
The numbers of people infected are dropping; The numbers of people in hospital and in intensive care too.
It seems that the peak of the second wave is past. The confinement measures have helped and the health professions have also learned to better manage the symptoms and the problems.
There will be a long term medical follow up of people who have suffered from Covid.
The circulation of the virus has been slowed down but the virus is still here and is still circulating. There are now 50 000 people who have died in France.
We need to continue our efforts. There are many different things to take into consideration. We need to continue different activities that mean the virus spreads and we need to avoid get-togethers
STAGE 1 from Saturday 28th November
Attestations will still be needed
Extra curricular activities will be allowed OUTDOORS

Teleworking will continue and meetings will still not be allowed.
Shops can open and stay open until 9pm There will be stricter sanitary measures in place.

IF THE NUMBER OF NEW CASES REMAINS AT FEWER THAN 5000 per day from 15 December, then there will be no longer any need for the attestations and people will be allowed to move about. Certain things will be opened.
Not restaurants bars however. Theme parks and other places that will mean that people will travel a distance and that there will be a mixture of people and the possibility to transmit the virus will remain closed.
From 15th December there will be a curfew from 9pm to 7am
Extra curricular activities INDOORS will be allowed so that
holiday activiities can run for children (centres airés)
The numbers of people together in one room in a house will be limited. There will not be parties in salle de fêtes etc.
Over Christmas masks should be worn at home when you have visitors friends or family who do not usually live with you. Rooms should be aired every hour and numbers of people MUST be restricted
If numbers remain below 5000 a day then restaurants will be able to open on 20 Jan and the curfew will be reviewed. Lycees and universities will be able to reopen 15 days later if the numbers remain low
Use the STOPCOVID app.
From January it will be possible to get test results within 24 hours.
EVERYTHING MUST BE DONE TO AVOID A THIRD WAVE
France will be relying on three different vaccines. Information must be shared about what is known and what is not known.
Vaccination will NOT be obligatory.
Vaccinations will begin end December or beginning of December as soon as the vaccines are validated by the relevant authorities.
The vaccinations will be at first for elderly and fragile people.
The financial aids for restaurants bars discos etc that must remain closed will either receive 10 000 euros from the Fonds de Solidarité or 20% of their turnover from 2019.
THIS AID IS FOR BUSINESSES THAT ARE OBLIGED TO REMAIN CLOSED
There will be help for seasonal workers and other people in fragile situations. These details will be available in the next few days.
There is still a lot of uncertainty so everyone must continue to make an effort.
The President is optimistic. France has become stronger through the things that have been learned since the beginning of the crisis.
The Economy will need to be kick started and rebuilt in the future but in the weeks that are to come people need to be RESPONSIBLE.
