From Tony & Lynne of Deux-Sevres Monthly.
You will, by now, have heard that France is heading into another lockdown.
This will affect many people in many ways more seriously than us not being able to get our magazines out to you BUT that is what we are discussing here.
We are 1.5 days into the 4 days of delivery. Although it is not yet entirely clear to us, we are assuming three things about the lockdown.
1) Bars, restaurants, cafes, non-food shops etc will be closed and “groups” will not be meeting.
2) We will not be allowed to carry out deliveries this Friday or Saturday.
3) Supermarkets will remain open.
We have therefore decided that to get the magazine to as many people as possible, we will focus our one remaining delivery day on getting the magazine delivered to our normal supermarket points.
We will, where it is possible, increase the number of magazines left at each supermarket in an effort to fill some of the voids that will be left by the lockdown.
We will, if the rules allow, restock those supermarkets that we can legitimately visit.
If you live in the East or South East of the area (In the area of Parthenay, Poitiers Airport, Gencay, Civray, Sauzé Vaussais, Lezay, Chef Boutonne, Melle) a full normal delivery to this area has taken place today so you probably have a short window in which to visit your normal ”stockist” and get your magazine if you wish.
If you are unable to get your hands on a print copy, don’t forget you can read the magazine online via our website www.thedeuxsevresmonthly.fr
Please all stay safe and if we can help in ANY way please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Tony & Lynne
