Win Putumayo music CDs of France
WHEN Dan Storper began the Putumayo World Music label in 1993, to introduce people to the music of the world’s cultures.
In the past fifteen years, the record label has become known primarily for its upbeat and melodic compilations of great international music characterized by the company’s motto: 'guaranteed to make you feel good!'
Putumayo is also considered a pioneer and leader in developing the non-traditional market, allowing music fans to find the CDs in book, gift, clothing, coffee and other speciality retailers all over the world.
Putumayo’s CD covers feature the distinctive art of Nicola Heindl, whose colourful, folkloric style represents one of the company’s goals: to connect the traditional and the contemporary developing a unique brand identity, rare into today’s music industry.
The company’s commitment to helping communities in the countries where the music originates has led to the label contributing more than a million dollars to worthwhile non-profit organizations around the world, including Coffee Kids, Oxfam, Mercy Corps, Search for Common Ground and more.
Here is a selection of French titles that are guaranteed to make you feel good. Click the play button to listen to the sample tracks.

Putumayo CD' not only give you an incredible education (I have several in the African and South American music category) about music from throughout the world, but the art work is enjoyable as well. Since I have to wait to move to my apartments in France for several years before my retirement, I would be happy to have the music here in America to tide me over. Please enter me, therefore, in the competition!
