Her maternity ward is about to close its doors and the devoted woman is determined not to work in the new modern hospital she regards as a 'baby factory'.
Her personal life is no triumph either: she is single and does not make friends easily. To make matters worse, her student son Simon is leaving home, as he has developed a relationship with his new sweetheart Lucie.
It is at this moment that Béatrice (Catherine Deneuve), the former mistress of Claire's father, decides to resurface.
The eccentric, spendthrift, sensual, amoral woman (Claire's exact opposite in fact) is really the last kind of person she needs to mix with.
But Béatrice soon informs her that she has nobody else to turn to. Torn between rejection and duty, what is Claire going to do?
The showing, in French, takes place on Friday 28 April and starts at 20h30 at the foyer rural, Place de la Halle, Villefranche-du-Périgord. Tickets are priced €6 with reduced rates of €4.50.
Claire est sage-femme dans une maternité dont la fermeture est programmée. Béatrice a été la maîtresse de son père décédé. Après plusieurs années de silence, les deux femmes vont se retrouver.
