Summer 2013 - turned out nice again, finally

THE summer of 2013 will be remembered as one that started badly in June, but saw improvement through July and August.

La Chaine Meteo reports that while it was not a record breaking year, the summer just gone experienced temperatures 0.5°C above normal, and sunshine levels nine per cent above the average.

June saw heavy rains in the Pyrénées and violent storms around Paris, while July experienced a spike in sunshine levels and August enjoyed 30% less rainfall than normal.
