Domestic gas prices heading up 2.4%

Energie-infoTHERE are not going to be too many pips left to squeak amongst French home owners following the announcement of an increase in the cost of domestic gas.

GDF Suez will be able allowed to raise gas prices for consumers by 2.4% from January 1, 2013, according to energy minister Delphine Batho.

This increase comes after a 2% rise in October and is likely to make it increasingly difficult for people to pay their bills.

If you are a user of domestic gas it is possible to find out more about the changes on the Energie-Info website, including a calculator to help see the impact of the 2.4% increase.
