Pigeon Movement bites back and forces government retreat

Pigeon-movementA FEW days ago I wrote about the Pigeon Movement, that sprung up in opposition to tax changes announced in the French budget.

Faced with steep tax rises on the sale of a start up business in France, entrepreneurs took to the internet to voice their opposition, saying if the new measures were brought in innovative companies would be lost overseas.

Well the government has backed down and the tax charges will remain unchanged for entrepreneurs keeping their companies for five years or more.

While money gained from selling off a company that is reinvested into other start ups will be almost entirely untaxed.
