As cost of my loaf goes up, inflation stands at 1.9%
SEEING that the price of my flûte loaf went up five centimes in the past week, it shouldn't come as any surprise to see annual inflation in France now stands at 1.9%.
Official figures from INSEE show that consumer prices fell in September, due to a drop in the cost of tourism services and continued competition in the mobile phone market.
And while energy prices fell, the cost of clothing and food was still heading upwards.
