GDF Suez to claw back lost price freeze
CUSTOMERS of GDF Suez are to see around €40 added to their annual bill as the company claws back the cost of a price freeze put in place last year.
The Conseil d'Etat has invalidated the decision by the previous government which saw prices held in the fourth quarter of 2011.
This means GDF Suez can now take steps to recover the lost €290 million it claims it missed out on.
And whilst saying that customers will have the cost spread out over time, it still means around seven million homes whose gas is supplied by GDF Suez will see their bills increase.
