Eurotunnel backed My Ferry Link begins Channel crossing

TWO former ferries from the defunct SeaFrance service are back in operation between Dover and Calais, renamed My Ferry Link.

The new service comes after three ferries were bought by Eurotunnel in June, a subsidiary of which has set up a co-operative with former workers of SeaFrance to offer 16 crossings between the two ports each day.

The two ships beginning the new link are Le Rodin and le Berlioz, each capable of handling 2,500 passengers and 100 trucks, with the third ferry set to come into operation later this year.

The My Ferry Link website is just a standalone page at the moment, offering travellers the chance to book tickets over the telephone.

With the company saying it stands for 'fair fares, fair conditions and minimal small print'.

Update: My Ferry Link website offers ticket bookings and timetable

At present I am struggling to find a website, but hopefully will soon have more details on the new Dover to Calais ferry service.

Comments

Their website is http://www.myferrylink.com/, not got anything of use on it at the moment, but expect that they'll 'get around' to it sometime.

Many thanks WitsinFfr :) Will update the piece.

Freight only for first 10 days to allow service to bed in.

Thanks Hartlepool1945, noticed on the Calais Port website the small timetable on the home page has a departure at 11.20 and another at 14.20.
