Art exhibitions and music concerts

GalleryI GET quite a few emails through my inbox highlighting small events taking place in all corners of France, so here is a quick run down of what I have.

Running from August 26 to September 16, 2012, at the Vieux Presbytère in Sauvagnacan, Charente, an exhibition of black and white photographs and other artwork by Dutch artist Dirk de Herder who also lived in the Charente region.

Taking place on Saturday, September 1 is an evening exhibition, jazz music and a lantern procession from the Mill Bistro, Domaine de Boisbuchet, 16500 Lessac is being organised by Galerie XXIV. Tickets are priced €15 with a meal in the riverside terrace on offer.

On display until September 2, 2012, is sculpture and pottery work from European artists at the Forge Galley, 16310 Vitrac St Vincent, near La Rochefoucauld. For more information email: keramikum@keramikum.de.

For a touch of classical music in Paris, check out where Classical Revolution Paris is holding small concerts in cafés and bars in the capital.

And if you are keen to Boogie in Le Boulve, the Lot, then tickets are still available for the open-air concert and picnic taking place on Friday August 24.
