IF you enjoy the theatre, then head to Sarlat in the Dordogne later this month for shows, events and behind the scenes glimpses.

The 61st Sarlat Theatre Festival takes place from 19 July to 4 August, 2012 with the event expected to draw around 8,000 spectators.

Four open air locations across Sarlat play host to a number of theatre productions, la Place de la Liberté, le Jardin des Enfeus, l’Abbaye Sainte-Claire, le Jardin du Plantier with sets being built during the day.

And there will be talks and debates featuring actors and directors, and of course the chance to enjoy some Sarladais delicacies.
