DFDS/LD Lines ready to start new Calais-Dover route
The new Dover-Calais route will start operation as from the 17 February, 2012. Two ships flying the French flag will be added on the Dover Strait.

Good news this ....... it stops P&O of having the monopoly running out of Calais and in the future hiking up the fares , as they always do.
Pity it is the Norman Spirit that is starting the route , the other 2 DFDS boats that are to be kept on the Dunkirk run are , much, much nicer.
Any news on the the Eurotunnel buy out of the Seafrance ferries!!!!!!, its a pity LD/DFDS could not have got hold of one of these as they are all good ferries that Seafrance owned

Hopefully the competition will keep the different companies on their toes, to the benefit of passengers. Will keep an eye on the prices.
