Electric car charging points on Irish Ferries route to France

Irish-ferries,jpgA DEDICATED electric car charging area is now available on the Rosslare to Cherbourg and Roscoff routes operated by Irish Ferries.

The free service is available during the crossing so that cars are charged by the time they reach their destination.

These charge points are operational on the Oscar Wilde Irish Ferries vessel and will eventually be extended to the rest of the fleet.

Daragh O'Reilly, marketing manager for Irish Ferries, said: "The development extends the horizon for electric car and hybrid motorists who can now recharge their electric car as they travel into and out of Ireland."
