Poor housing affecting lives of children

Poor-housing-franceAROUND ten million people are living in poor housing, or face difficult living conditions, according to a report from the charity, Fondation Abbé Pierre.

The annual study by the charitable group highlighted the poor housing that many children were growing up in, saying it had an impact on their schooling and future opportunities.

Fondation Abbé Pierre is calling in the government to provide more social housing, and to protect those people renting properties as the cost of average rents has risen dramatically in recent years.
