New routes to France from easyJet
A NUMBER of new routes have been announced by easyJet from French cities, including a link between London Gatwick and Bordeaux.
The daily service to Bordeaux will start on March 28, 2010, and offers a Monday to Friday departure time from London of 6.10pm, arriving in France at 8.50pm, with the return flight setting off at 9.15pm and arriving in the UK at 9.55pm.
Weekend flight times are different, with Saturday's departure heading out of Gatwick at 2.05pm, landing in Bordeaux at 4.45pm, with the flight turning around at 5.15pm before landing at 5.55pm.
Sunday's departure time is 6.15pm from Gatwick, arriving at 8.55pm, with the flight heading out of Bordeaux at 9.20pm and landing in London at 10pm.
A quick check of tickets for a flight leaving Gatwick on March 31, and heading back on April 7, gave a price of £52.52 if I paid with a Visa Electron card (additional fees apply for other card types).
Alongside news of this new route, easyJet has also said it will offer other flights this summer across Europe from France (route/start date/days of operation):
Basel - Nantes: 25 June, Tue, Fri, Sat
Basel - Ajaccio: 26 June, Sat, Sun
Milan Malpensa - Bordeaux: 30 April, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
Paris Orly – Mykonos: 10 July, Tue, Thu, Sat
Paris Orly - Olbia: 10 July, Tue, Sat
Paris Orly – Palermo (Sicily): 11 July, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
