Flickr pics of winter snow and ice in France

WINTER has a tight grip on France this morning with temperatures dipping well below freezing.

But if you have been out with the camera feel free to upload a photograph or two to the This French Life Flickr group and show others what things are like close to you.

If you are a member of Flickr then in a couple of clicks you can add your pics to the group.

And if you are not a member of Flickr then it's free to join and you can show family and friends your photos easily without jamming up your email.

I've just heard that the brother of a friend is thinking of 'doing up' an old property in France with a view to creating gites. Is this really still a good idea? If so, which is the best region to choose? Thanks for any advice.

Hi Helen, I think the success, or not, of a gite business is in the promotion especially online. The days of popping up a four page website are long gone, so being aware of promotional tips and techniques is very important.
All the best, Craig
