Strike action in Belgium hits Eurostar service to Lille

Eurostar-train DUE to industrial action in Belgium on Thursday, November 5 there will be no Eurostar service between Lille and Brussels Midi station.

There will also be no high-speed onward rail connections on Thalys or ICE, from Brussels to destinations in France, the Netherlands and Germany.

For passengers travelling between the UK and Lille there will be a modified timetable, with Eurostar saying travellers should check-in as normal as they will be accommodated on the next available service.

I'm extremely sorry the Belgian strike is having this effect. In the past no matter what strikes the French were having, Eurostar never seemed to be halted by them, thus keeping up a very reliable reputation.
