In the Dordogne there will be a boules competition after a picnic on Sunday, June 14 starting about 12.15pm at le Port in Limeuil.

On Friday, June 19 a Midsummer musical show will be held at Bayac, the theme is nursery rhymes and times, so dress accordingly, with a full meal offered, although tickets are in short supply.
In Bordeaux the annual garden party will take place on Sunday, June 14 at the Lycee de l’Assomption (370, bd President Wilson, Bordeaux).
A full day of activities will start with a Sunday service at 10.30am, while the afternoon will see a book sale, cakes, home produce and games, with donations going to the chaplaincy.
Residents around the Dronne Valley have the chance to enjoy a 10km walk on Wednesday, June 17, starting at 10.30am and meeting at the church at Champagnac de Belfour, near Brantome.
While later this month, on Sunday, June 28 starting at 2pm, a fun dog show will take place at the Salle des Fetes, Charras.
With 16 classes available, and an entry fee of €1.50 per dog, there will also be horse drawn carriage rides, refreshments, stalls and face painting, with the money raised going towards the Phoenix Animal Rescue charity.
