Chance to grab flight ticket deals
LIKE all businesses at the moment, the airline industry is having to tighten its belt as well as look to tempt passengers to take to the skies.
If you are looking to catch a flight to France then now might be a good time to get online and compare prices as it appears many airlines have dramatically cut ticket prices.
Cheapflights.co.uk, who I once wrote for, has compared the deals its newsletter subscribers were able to take advantage of last year, to those available today.
For example, the cost of flights to Paris in January 2009 were around 40 per cent cheaper on the same time last year, highlighting how keen airlines are to get 'bums on seats'.
A number of airlines are offering special deals at the moment, Aer Lingus recently started flights to Europe from Gatwick, including a link to Nice, with return tickets priced around £20.
Elsewhere, bmibaby are promoting fares starting at £5.99 one way for travel until the end of March, while Flybe have reduced ticket prices by as much as 50 per cent on flights to Paris and elsewhere.
Do be aware of any restrictions on travel, or additional fees, but if you can be flexible with your time of travel you may be able to pick up a deal at the moment.
