Merricks Media, publisher of French magazine, closes
THE publisher behind French magazine, Merricks Media, has gone into liquidation with the loss of 22 jobs.
The Bath Chronicle reports that publisher Lisa Doerr puts the blame firmly at the door of the banks, with her saying their support was non-existent.
A second piece on the Bath Chronicle website answers some of the comments left by people who said the company made some poor decisions.
Unfortunately I've not been able to find any details of the liquidators handling the closure of the business for those people who may have outstanding advertising accounts, or freelance journalists awaiting payment.

The Liquidators in question are Wilson field, being an advertiser in the now defunct Greece magazine I know this to well. I would also draw attention to the fact this "NEW" company is fronted by the same management team behind the also defunct Merricks media. Just to clarify.

Merricks media is back, they have new sponsors and paid all outstanding debts.
Heard from a reliable source they are recruiting covertly and are looking to have a surprise launch for the final quarter.
Best wishes!!
