Life magazine's view of France from the past

Life images GoogleHERE is your chance to explore the images of Life magazine, whose collection captures some of the key moments in world history, including many from France.

Life was the home of photojournalism in the 20th century and thanks to a link-up with Google many of its images are now available to browse online.

So you can browse photographs taken in France during World War One, see the Eiffel Tower through the camera lens or go behind the scenes with Brigitte Bardot.

But be warned, don't spend all day searching and clicking.
