Harvesting the grapes for wine - The Vendée Blog
At this time of year many fields, including the vineyards, will be giving up their produce for harvest, and here Jon spends a few hours helping his neighbours gather in the grapes.

I was asked whether I’d like to go and help out at with the gathering of the grapes – the vendange – at the house of a neighbour of my friend Martin.

French Property News blog
Karen Tait, editor of French Property News, has fired up a blog to keep readers up to date. Still early days and maybe you'll have a bit more luck leaving a comment, as I left a welcome message and it's still not appeared.

Bienvenue to my first ever blog! The French Property News team will be using this blog to discuss French property, current affairs and anything else to do with France, from the seriously serious to the seriously trivial.

Snow dump - Le Franco Phoney
It might only be early October but April woke up one morning this week to be greeted by snow on the mountains, check out her photograph.

This is what was out my window when I awoke this morning. Glorious! I have nothing else to add.

Top 10 Paris blogs - blogs.com
If you can't be bothered clicking around loads of blogs then drop in on this pick of Paris websites, some you may know but there is sure to be one or two new spots to discover.

These blogs are in English, written largely by Anglophones living in Paris. They chronicle daily life in the City of Light.

How the Alliance Francaise changed my life - Polly-Vous Francais
I spent an enjoyable few months at the Alliance Francaise in Manchester getting up to speed before heading to France, but for Polly the institution became an important part of her life.

My experience at the Alliance Française spanned some thirty years in Boston, as a member, employee, Board member, and member once again.

An epic voyage - Notre Vie Juteuse
If you want to follow the adventures of Bruce and Alisa, who are taking a 12 month sabbatical in the Aveyron, then you've arrived at the right time as the couple, with their two dogs, have just arrived in France.

My last post was from Chicago, this post is now from our new home in Sanvensa, France, our home for one year.

Horses, films and takeaways - France and The Unknown
One of the things Brits really miss when heading to France is a good takeaway, preferably with a bit of spice, and that is what Frances has found in the middle of the Lot.

The pretty Rue des Balmes, overlooking the Lot river in Puy L’Eveque, is not the most usual place you would expect to find a takeaway.
