September 11 exhibition in Caen

September11caen
RUNNING until the end of the year, an exhibition looking at the effects of the September 11 attacks on New York can be visited at the Memorial de Caen, Normandy.

The exhibition, organised with the New York State Museum, tells the story and the consequences of the World Trade Centre terrorist attacks in 2001, in which more than 2,700 people died, and also looks at the public response to the events.

Visitors will learn about the events on the day through many objects, including images, films, testimonies and items from the disaster.

The story of the police and recovery operations is told through objects found by the FBI among the debris and in particular pieces of the two planes that struck the towers.

Entrance fee: €5
