Paris What's On this summer
IF you are heading to Paris over the coming weeks then keep your eyes peeled for a handy guide to events and festivals taking place in the city.
The Paris Île-de-France Tourist Board has created the Enjoy Summer in Paris guide, which is a free magazine that details 60 of the best festivals taking place.
It covers a vast selection of events, from music and theatre to dance, circus, nightlife, cinema and graphic arts, and is particularly adapted to those heading to the French capital for a short break.
You can download a copy below, but it will also be available on Eurostar services, as well as some UK rail stations, plus the tourist information points at Roissy CDG Airport, the Caroussel du Louvre and in Fnac stores across France.
Many of the activities highlighted in the guide are taking place in areas where urban renewal is taking place, such as Villette, Bobigny and Belleville in the north east of Paris where modern tower blocks stand in the midst of 19th century factories and warehouses.
And the 13th arrondissement is also home to a number of events, an area of Paris proving popular to artists, musicians and thinkers, changing the way the district looks and feels.
