Working on an archaeological dig

Archaeological dig FranceIF you are up for working outdoors, beneath the summer sun, why not try your hand at volunteering for an archaeological dig?

There are many projects taking place across France which could see you involved in the cleaning of items, producing drawings or taking photographs covering dates from the Middle Ages, right back to pre-historic times.

The search page for archaeological digs in France allows you to check either via regions, dates or specific periods of time that the work is uncovering.

Each site has particular conditions on admission, but volunteers are asked to be in generally good physical condition as well as have an up to date tetanus vaccination.
