Skype offers cheap unlimited landline calls
IF you are a user of Skype then a new subscription the company has launched offering unlimited calls to landline numbers in 34 countries may well appeal.
And even if you are not a regular user for €4.54 a month you can call 20 European countries, and if you just want to call numbers in France then that will cost you €3.39 a month.
The new subscriptions have no long-term contract and you can make calls whenever you want at any time of the day, on any day of the week.
There is a fair usage policy, but even that is set at 10,000 minutes per month (which equates to more than 5 hours of calling per day).
For example if you live in the UK and regularly call numbers in France then for €3.39 a month you can call your family, friends or any other landline number whenever you like, and talk for up to six hours at a time without worrying about about how much it’s costing you.
And of course the reverse is true, if you are living in France and want to call landline numbers in the UK via your Skype account it might be worth weighing up the costs.
