IT has been a weekend of wild weather across most of France with heavy downpours, violent storms and strong winds battering the country.
The photograph featured right was taken by Alice who lives in the small village of Arradon on the southern coast of Brittany and shows the sea whipped up by the winds.
And Colin Randall has featured a story about the choppy waters of French bureaucracy and the problems faced by a small local bar over a distance of two metres.
In a reply by email to Colin I said that this is another example of small businesses being walloped by crazy regulations, and if Sarkozy is looking to keep his promise of reform then it is this type of situation that has to be dealt with.
Elsewhere and Phil Voice has launched a fun competition involving pumpkins and is challenging children under 14 to grow the biggest they can, and the prize is a stay in the family gite near Monflanquin.
And finally I have crossed a US-based website that is promising to bring God across the Atlantic and begin "planting" churches in France, I'll let you decide and discover more.
