Review of Purple Parking airport car park website

STRUGGLING to find a parking place at the airport, and then dragging your baggage to the terminal, can get your holiday off on the wrong foot.

But Purple Parking offer airport parking for both business people as well as holidaymakers and leisure travellers.

This type of preferential parking offered by Purple Parking is becoming increasingly popular, but it is the service that counts, so is their website up to the mark.

Keeping to their name the site has purple graphics and some text is coloured the same, which may prove difficult for some people to use.

But the main page is white and with a simple click you can pick either a Park and Ride service or the Meet and Greet service.

The booking page asks you for the airport you are departing from, I chose London Stansted, and the dates you are away for, I picked a week’s holiday.

The quoted price came back quickly and it is possible to find more details about where you will need to go at the airport should you go through with the quote.

You then move on to a secure server page that asks for your name and address details.

Purple Parking then asks for your car registration details and make, as well as your flight details, so you will have these details close to hand.

From here you are then asked for your credit card details to make payment, but across the top of the page are all the details of your booking so you can easily check everything is correct.

Although many you may never have thought about airport parking, to take the stress and strain from the start of you holiday it might be a useful thing to check out.

Airports covered: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Glasgow, Humberside, London City, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Newcastle, Prestwick, and Teesside.

I recommend you book your airport parking well in advance through a reputable company such as Purple Parking to ensure your car is in one piece when you get back from your trip. I have used them at least 20 times and highly recommend them. Using a reputable company such as Purple Parking will give you peace of mind that your car is as you left it.

On our return, having rung for the third time, Purple Parkings chauffeur service finally admitted to us that they had lost our car keys. Luckily we had a spare set with us. We had a two hour delay, 5 telephone calls, did not get the chauffeur delivery that we were charged for, and were told by two staff that we should get our parking fees reimbursed by way of compensation. Having taken the car and expecting a fair deal from customer services, we have been told £35 off is all we get. Be advised - do not trust purple parking for a fair resolve. By declaring that we had a set of keys with us we saved them over £200 in chauffeuring us home, delivering the vehicle back once the keys were finally located and drivers time.

Hi Steven, that sounds real bad. I think everyone can accept that sometimes things can go wrong, or an error is made, but to make the situation worse is really poor.
All the best, Craig
