THE town of Dijon, in the west of France, is offering visitors the chance to take a ‘VisioVisit’ around the streets and buildings of the capital of Burgundy.
Your trip is provided through an interactive guide that you watch on a pocket-PC which is available from the town’s tourist office for €12.
The video and audio contents include historical re-creations, interviews, library footage, rare illustrations and guidance between each step of the visit.
There is a four-minute commentary at important points along the route, which takes around 90 minutes to complete, whilst the visit is available in French, English and German.
To get an idea of what is available on your VisioVisit, the company that produces them has an example on its website covering the events that led up to the battle of Loigny.
