Spring events on the coast

Beachwalk1603DURING the coming months many French costal resorts are holding special events and festivals to celebrate the arrival of spring.

With deserted beaches to stroll along, concerts to enjoy and local delicacies to taste the events will offer a different view of the seaside towns.

There are 36 resorts, that are members of the Club Littoral de Maison de la France, who will be holding events that run from March 19 until June 20.

So if you want to experience a little cultural, gastronomic or sporting fare these are the beaches to head to:

The Channel: Hardelot, le Touquet Paris-Plage.

Normandy: Honfleur, Deauville.

Brittany: Perros-Guirec, Bénodet, Port Crouesty-Port Navalo.

Atlantic coast: La Baule, Pornichet, Pornic, St Jean de Monts, Les Sables d'Olonne, Châtelaillon-Plage, Royan, Arcachon, Biscarosse, Anglet, Biarritz, St Jean-de-Luz, Lacanau, Hendaye.

Mediterranean coast: St Cyprien, Gruissan, le Cap d'Agde, la Grande Motte, Six-Fours les plages, Bormes les Mimosas, la Croix Valmer, St Tropez, Ste Maxime, Mandelieu la Napoule, Roquebrune sur Argens.

Corsica: Bastia, Calvi, Ajaccio, Bonifacio.
