Brittany Ferries has pre-Christmas £99 return fare to France

Brittany Ferries has announced a special low fare of £99 return for a car plus two passengers for travel between now and 18th December on all its routes to France.

Although restricted to a maximum stay of 60 hours in France, this is perfect for anyone wishing to do a bit of Christmas shopping, stock up on wine and cheeses, or simply enjoy a well-deserved break.

Mike Bevens, of Brittany Ferries, said: "Our part of France is a great place to take a break at any time but particularly during the pre-Christmas period when the open-air markets have their own special seasonal appeal. Of course, by taking your own car, the only limit to the amount you can bring back is the size of your boot."

Brittany Ferries has services from Portsmouth to Caen and St Malo and from Plymouth to St Malo and Roscoff during this period and it is possible to travel out by one route and return by another.

These fares can be booked from now until 21st November for travel until 18th December 2011, with a weekend surcharge of £10 per car each way applies (Thursday and Friday ex UK and Saturday and Sunday ex France).
